Trauma Grand Rounds

On a monthly basis, trauma-related topics are presented and discussed in a forum that includes all trauma healthcare providers; i.e. doctors of all specialties, nurses and others. Interesting trauma cases are also discussed.

Trauma / Anaesthetic Meetings

Regular education sessions between the Trauma Service and the Anaesthetics Department to discuss interesting and challenging trauma cases.

Trauma Team Training

This simulation course is held 4x per year. It involves training clinicians, who respond to the Major Trauma Activations. To improve efficiency and effectiveness, these “flash” teams require training in both technical and non-technical skills.

This is a weekly trauma tutorial conducted by A/Prof Hsu. Trauma topics are discussed in a case-presentation format, based on real, current patients. This tutorial is aimed at the Trauma Fellows and General Surgical Trainees, however all interested medical staff and medical students are welcome.

Trauma / Interventional Radiology Teaching

Weekly meetings to discuss & review imaging for current patients & updates on relevant educational matters. Coordinated by John Harvey, Interventional Radiologist
